Are you feeling stuck? Do you need to access support outside your family and friend network? Are you trying to find an intentional space to process the stressors you are experiencing and make changes in your life?

My name is Rebekah and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). For over a decade, I’ve worked as an oncology social worker supporting patients and their caregivers throughout their cancer treatment and bearing witness to some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Illness isn’t the only stressor in life. We live in a challenging time.  What may seem to be a normal part of life – parenting, life transitions, finding meaningful work, and managing family dynamics – can become overwhelming. We might also find ourselves repeating unhealthy patterns that no longer serve us and prevent the change for which we are longing. The world we live in, externally and internally, can sometimes be a formidable one.

I believe in your intrinsic self worth and inner capacity for healing. Finding a trustworthy connection and an appropriate fit between us is essential to your success. Working collaboratively with you, I will support you in enhancing your coping skills, processing your grief, and building your resiliency to handle the challenges that life brings as you connect to your internal sources of strength and wisdom.

I use a variety of techniques that we will tailor to suit your unique needs. I am influenced by the relationship between our body and mind and will integrate mindfulness and meditation in our work together (Stress Management and Resiliency Training).  We will explore the connection of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and how to manage the realities of your situation and work inline with your core values (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). If appropriate, we will explore how to reclaim your identity, find meaning, and cope with existential distress (Meaning Centered Psychotherapy). My work with you is informed by the core concepts of the Internal Family System model which holds that our personality is made of many parts and a core self. Additionally, the concept of unique core motivations and distinct  perspectives through the Enneagram informs my understanding of pathways for your growth.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2012 where I was a Carol LaMare Palliative Care and Oncology Fellow. I began my career working in Geriatrics, and I have a special place for that population in my heart. I am on my own journey of parenting two wonderful children with my supportive husband.

Let’s partner together to support your healing.
