You are the authority on your own life, and I will respect that by walking with you as a fellow traveler and witness. As we work together to gently uncover and understand the origins of your story, concerns, and life obstacles, we will develop paths to emotional wellness and resilience. I aim to provide my clients with a place where they may encounter empathy, honesty, creativity, and curiosity. My dedication to social justice and ongoing progress toward intercultural consciousness influence my work.
For many, unprocessed trauma may present as anxiety, depression, physical pain, illness, irritability, relationship and work challenges, boredom, or overall life dissatisfaction. When these manifestations are left unaddressed, they can lead to unhealthy behaviors—substance abuse, weight challenges, anger, gambling, smoking, etc.
As a relationally oriented certified, trauma-informed therapist, I use a holistic and embodied approach to healing and recovery. Our work will involve working with imagery, cognitions, emotions, somatic sensations, and behaviors linked to trauma and attending to past, current, and future-oriented experiential contributors.
My therapeutic approach includes many modalities, notably attachment theory, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), hypnotherapy, internal family systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and multicultural systems. Sessions may include mindfulness, behavioral activation, breathwork, somatic experiential treatments, guided imagery, and others to help you understand how your experiences have impacted your body, mind, and spirit and how you may use those strengths to move forward and live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
While life can be difficult, it can also be rewarding. I look forward to witnessing you step into a life of freedom, expansion, truth, and connection and achieve your personal goals to live a fulfilling life. We will remember to laugh and celebrate the joys and victories together.
I have a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Washington and hold a bachelor's in Social Welfare. I have over a decade of direct client experience as a certified hypnotherapist and certified neuro-linguistics practitioner (NLP).
I am also a South Asian immigrant, travel enthusiast, novice cook, avid reader, and dog mom. My leisure time often includes spending time with friends and family, enjoying live music and comedy shows, and wine-tasting and local hikes with my 10-year chocolate lab--Asha.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”--Maya Angelou.
It would be an honor to hear your story.
